About Cross Keys Estates

Cross Keys Estate Agents was formed by the Directors Jack Merriott (MNAEA MARLA) and Craig McMillan Duncan (MNAEA MARLA) in 2003 and the first office opened in May of that year in Devonport Road, Stoke Village. Craig grew up in the Stoke area and attended the local secondary school, now known as Stoke Damerel Community College. Both Jack & Craig are also ex-serving members of the Royal Navy.

The Company was named after “Cross Keys House” which is the name of the building where the Company has been housed since our inception. It seemed appropriate to keep the spirit of the building alive by adopting the name for the Estate Agency. The name “Cross Keys House 1905” can be seen at top of the building to this day and dates back to when it first operated as a public house. The property that stood on the current site previously was the “Cross Keys Hotel” that was sadly lost to a fire at the end of the 19th Century.

After establishing ourselves in the West of Plymouth, we took the decision to expand our range of Services to include a Lettings Department to work alongside the already established Sales Department.

Both Jack & Craig are “working Directors” and can be found at the front end of the business on a daily basis. We are firm believers that a Company thrives by having a high level of Customer care and we do our utmost to deliver this at all times. As well as traditional values, we are also great believers in embracing technology to assist us in providing the best service we possibly can. Our Company reviews can be seen on the Estate Agency review website, on the following link: All Agents Website

We employ local people and do our utmost to recommend other local businesses, such as Solicitors, Surveyors, Tradesmen and suchlike so as to keep investing in the local economy.
